Coffee is what we make. Connection is what we’re building.
We’re Jason and Beth, and coffee has been part of our story from the beginning—a perfectly made vanilla latte, to be precise. It helped bring us together, became part of the life and family we built, and eventually inspired the idea of creating something of our own.
Returning to Central Indiana gave us the opportunity to begin. Moon Dog Coffee is starting with freshly roasted blends to enjoy at home, available by the bag or through our monthly subscription. At the same time, we’re working toward a mobile coffee bar for local markets, workplaces, community events, and private gatherings.
Coffee has always given us a reason to slow down, talk, and spend time together. We’re excited to build a family business that creates more of those moments in the community we call home.
The dog behind the name
Moon joined our family in 2024 and immediately became our unofficial family mascot. She reminds us to find joy in ordinary days, make time to play, and remember that every stranger is a friend in the making—if you approach them with enough enthusiasm.
When it came time to name the business we were building together, Moon Dog Coffee felt like the obvious choice. She is the heart behind the name and a daily reminder of the welcoming spirit we want this business to carry.
Growing with purpose
As Moon Dog grows, we want it to do more than serve good coffee. Our hope is to build meaningful partnerships with local veterinarians, shelters, and rescue organizations—and create practical ways for our customers to help animals still waiting for homes.
We’re at the beginning of that work, and we look forward to sharing more as those relationships take shape.
